Let it snow

I like the snow when it’s fluffy and falls in huge soft flakes. I especially love the snow when I don’t have to cancel appointments, make alternative arrange or drive in dicey conditions. Just over 13cm (I know I used a ruler!) fell on my veranda this morning. I suspect it was more on the lawn which isn’t partially covered by a roof.

I love the way snow muffles the sound across the valley and the few sounds you do hear tend to be joyful screams and laughter in the distance as people launch themselves down steep hills on sleighs.

A peaceful day which was productive
