The iceberg of Inverleith

This afternoon Mr hazelh and I topped up our vitamin D with a chilly walk in the winter sunshine to the Botanic Garden, through Inverleith Park, past (and in) the Stockbridge charity shops, tea and scones at Bon Papillon, up to John Lewis to hunt for a Finlandia china toast rack (no luck), down Broughton Street with a stop at Crombies, and home again.

I photographed this 'iceberg' 'floating' on the ice (not water) of the frozen boating pond in Inverleith Park. The extra shows it in context.

Other Saturday activities have included exercise, and stocking up the freezer with future lunchtime supplies of tomato and basil soup.

Exercise today: sit-ups, weights and stretches; one hour on the exercise bike; walking (12,673 steps).
