Brick Wall Book Boy

As it is World Wetlands Day we went for a walk to Hunsdon Mead which is one of the finest unimproved wetland meadows in the country. As we approached Hunsdon Mill House by the lock I caught sight of the back of what I initially thought was a boy on top of a tumble-down wall. On closer inspection through my 400mm lens I could see that it is a sculpture. I had some difficulty getting a clear view of it. He's reading a book and the wall seems to be one side of a walled garden area. How strange. Wish I could find information about it.

We had the mead completely to ourselves in the golden hour, it was lovely. I'll definitely be bringing Ollie dog back later in the year to see the wildflowers and wildlife.
