Making A Row

I warn the neighbours that sparks might fly.
No change there then, they say. And visibly sigh.
I emphasise that there’s bound to be the sound
of points being emphatically hammered home
and a voice or two raised as to just who it was
who really hit the nail on the head this time.
We’ll be raiding the whole toolkit
and taking apart something that took us years
to build. We’ll be dealing with some difficult DIY.
Doing it ourselves.  To ourselves.  Making 
a row. And we’ll wonder why it came to this.
And how?
