It’s not just the National Trust for Scotland

I was interested to hear the news item about the moth infestation at Newhailes, managed by the NTS.

For well over a year we have had clothes moths in the house. Not helped that most rooms have been piled high with bags and boxes and we were out of the house for 7 months over one of the warmest summers.

We feel we have got on top of them but I suspect the arrival of spring will bring a new hatch. The extent of the damage was visible on the stairs when I cleared them and got round to vacuuming them.

We can’t fit everything in a deep freeze but some of my jumpers have gone in. And some have been binned.
