Ex-Moderator

Our Minister was away today - being an interim Moderator in another church.

So to support our family service we had a former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland: the Very Reverend Dr Andrew McLellan. The sermon involved at one point contrasting 2 previous Prime Ministers - based on their portrayal in film “Darkest Hour” (Churchill) and “The Crown” (Macmillan).

Afterwards back to the tidying up - this time externally. Clear access round the house is required so pathways were cleared, compost bins emptied, pots and containers cleared up. And more visits to the tip. So far today 24,000 steps, over 11 miles. It was a glorious day to be outside (especially after the murk and damp of yesterday) and there was some warmth in the sun. So much so that the greenhouses recorded 28oC.

At last feel we are getting there.
