An ordinary life....

You're feeling very sleepy...

We've had a lovely day :-)

Ele brought Nikki and little Esme for lunch with the surprise addition of our niece Jen who wasn't working today.  Great to see her too.

I pushed the boat out and made Mary Berry's Devonshire scones (NB Mary you are a disgrace.  You produced a wonderful recipe for Devonshire scones then right at the end say to "cut them open, spread with jam and add a dollop of cream."   What an insult to a Devonshire scone!  I think you will find that's NOT the Devonshire way!)

We had a lovely lunch what lots of chat and laughter around the table and despite having a cold and being very snuffly, Esme was a little star.  She reminds me of Alan in that when she smiles, she absolutely beams and it's like the sun's come out.

After lunch we had coffee and my scones and David stole took Esme from me and took her for a wander round the garden room leaving us ladies to natter.

We relocated to the living room where David and Esme nodded off together.  Young baby - early retiree...not much difference in lifestyle....eating, snoozing and episodes of play :-))

I got lots of lovely cuddles and kisses before she left. She's such a gorgeous little munchkin.
