Pictorial blethers

By blethers

I could stretch to lunch ...

Came upon this little fellow at ... well, at lunchtime, actually. I thought it was a bit of the old tree stump that was coming away, at first glance, and then realised what I was seeing was the wonderfully white belly of a bright ginger red squirrel, hanging onto the tree with his back feet while pulling the bird feeder towards him with his front paws. He stayed there for ages, nibbling away for dear life, pulling the nuts closer to get a better grip. We were riveted.

And for all I know, I have to admit, it could well have been a girl.
