Hint of Spring

The milder weather, a little sunshine and the stronger light as the sun rises a little higher in the sky made for a different feel to the day.  I was out in North Norfolk giving a talk to the U3A Diggers and Planters group which was fun.  By happy coincidence the talk was in a village just a couple of minutes from some gardening friends who welcomed me to visit their farmhouse garden ..... and share home-made soup for lunch.  Their long established garden holds many treasures especially of the white and green kind at this time of year, however it was the Winter Aconites that stole the show for me.  Great swathes of golden goblets with their characteristic green ruffs, all opening their faces to the sun.  Extra pics for a glimpse of the golden carpet plus a lovely hellebore.

A grand day out as W&G might put it :-)
