Leaving Salvador, Brazil, Bahia, the sunshine ....

We are leaving today!
We arranged a check-out at 1pm and started packing after we got up.
Then breakfast and a walk through Santo Antonio. We did a little shopping and returned to the Convent and jumped into the pool for a last time.
Then finished packing and checked out.
Worst was actually putting on jeans and something else than flip-flops on the feet …… a totally unpleasant experience in those temperatures!
We still had time to walk properly through the hotel and admire the whole massive and impressive building before we called an Uber to bring us to the airport.

At the airport we checked in and were able to check all our luggage through to Glasgow, which was good as the layover in Fortaleza was only one hour.
Our flight was 20 min delayed, but we made the connection in Fortaleza thanks to fast security and passport control and staff making sure we run in the right direction.

The long haul flight was long but we managed to dose most of the time.

Blipping the Cruz do Pascoal, where the bar takes over the street. The later it gets the more tables are there. We spent a few evenings and nights exactly here. 3 min from our convent.

Extras are more expressions from Salvador:
Mural in Santo Antonio (where we lived)
Views over Salvador from the Convent upper floor.
