Friday ........ behind again ....

Friday was an odd day.
I was stuck in calculations and something was wrong there .... it took me all day to figure it out in the end .... Painful process that needed a lot of concentration and a lot of energy.
This progress was interrupted by my 2017 appraisal in the afternoon, which actually went very well - how well I will see in April .... ha!!

Stuck in the numbers meant that I did not get out - I just needed to fix it and it was important and urgent.
I succeeded just before we needed to go next door.
Allison and Stevie, living opposite us (same tenement) had invited us for drinks.
So we grabbed some nibbles (mainly nice chocolate, some German Christmas bakery and marzipan) and knocked the door.
They moved in 15 months ago and it took about 4 months before we actually saw them the first time. And we are on the same floor.
We had a lovely evening and consumed 4 (FOUR!) bottles of tasty French wine. They are really interesting and the evening was full of laughter and plans doing some crazy things in the future, involving mainly Allison and I in Berlin some day.
So nice to do some boozy socialising and then just go next door to fall into your bed :) Ha!

My blip is a bit poor .... apologies.
Those are Italian Amaretti - lovely wrapped - but utterly hard. I do not enjoy them on their own.
I guess I need to find an alternative way of using them .... but they look nice in a bowl on the table ...
