Hippeastrum

Another record shot I am afraid.  We have two of these bulbs generally known as Amaryllis.   In reality they are Hippeastrum amaryllis.  We have bought neither of them which means they came to us when my Mum came to live with us, that was 34 years ago.   I have no idea how old they were then.   The leaves visible each side are from young bulbs developing from the main bulb.

It might be wise to point out I may be blipping an Amaryllis in flower before long.   This isn't because the other is almost in flower not because this one has suddenly shot up.

Nothing else of importance to record busy with a few jobs round the house.
