Studland Bay.

Our hotel is on the Poole side of Studland Bay and Old Harry Rocks, 2 chalk stacks, are on the other and in-between is one of the loveliest beaches I know.

The plan was to walk around part of the bay and stop at the café for lunch then, possibly walk back. We did all this but continued to visit Old Harry then walked back. The weather started out very windy but bright and sunny and went through cloudy and grey to full on rain then back to cloudy but it was a fantastic walk.

We were feeling rather tired and the chain ferry was on our side but we could not run, we were in shouting distance when they started raising the stern and we thought we would have to sit and wait for the next one but the crew saw us and dropped it again for it to get on, there's a nice attitude around here.

Finishing the walk we discovered it had been a total of 18km so dinner from room service was quite acceptable.

Extras are of a stormy sky and someone not acting their age.
