Kung Hei Fat Choy

Book club had a coffee morning today and I picked the Manchester Art Gallery so we could step outside of the door and then watch the Chinese New Year Festival Parade. Unfortunately it was an hour late but worth waiting to get a different blip for the day (which is best viewed large).

Apparently there are a number of taboos that you should avoid during the Festival, namely that you should not:
- say negative words such as pain, death, ghost
- break ceramics or glass
- clean or sweep
- use scissors, knives or other sharp objects
- visit the wife's family
- demand debt repayment
- give New Year blessings to someone still in bed

Quote for today:
Stress is an important dragon to slay - or at least tame - in your life.
- Marilu Henner
