Quod oculus meus videt

'Fleur' and Whiskers

Spent much of the morning helping with cleaning in the kitchen while the weather outside switched between sunshine and heavy showers (including at one time a hailstorm).

At lunch the sunshine was streaming through the kitchen window, falling on our cat, who had taken up residence on one of the chairs.  I just liked the way it was illuminating her whiskers and showing the true colour of a 'black' cat.

After that it was a sit down to watch the England v France rugby match.  Les Bleu were put to the sword by a ruthless England performance in the first half.  What was surprising was that the 40 minutes of rugby in the second half took over an hour to complete with stoppages.  It meant that the opportunity to pop out for the sunset had passed before the final whistle had blown.  Oh well, thanks be to Fleur for being a relatively willing model.
