Tiny Tuesday - The Buzzing is Back!

The slow but marked improvement in the weather has brought the buzzing folk out again, from their winter hibernation. These tiny crocus are providing some of the first meals of the year, and this (I think) common carder bee is making full use of it.

Perhaps give him some large love. The ring flash seems to have turned the crocus stamen into tiny fibre optics, and it's picked up on the pollen dusting the bee too.

It's also a day to replenish the pond fish food, and a new bale of barley straw to fight back against some green foamy scum on the surface. That was good enough excuse for another quick blast on Morrigan. And now to prepare for tonight's parish council meeting.

Buzz, buzz, busy, busy...
