Crocuses

By the time I got out with the camera to these crocuses they'd more or less closed up for the day, but even the different lilac shades of the folded petals make a pleasing pattern to the eye. Once they're over in a week or so the hellebores should be well on the way to flower - they've already started, and will last for weeks. 

We might be moving house this year, and if so that means moving garden too. I haven't really thought about how I feel about that; so much of gardening is a long term investment that you can't take with you to another place. But as it may not happen, there's not much point in thinking too much about it yet. There are one or two much-loved plants though, that it might be as well to move into pots this spring. And lots of cuttings that we'd better take when the time is right. Now I think of it, we really ought to have some sort of plan, just in case.
