Island Queen, Tayinloan

10.2C and bright. Lots of cloud. Moderate S/SE/SSE breeze with gusts to 37 mph.

The forecast had been good for today so I decided to get my little car and drive Fergus and I up the West road to Tayinloan and walk along the beach to visit the wreck of the Island Queen. As we started off along the beach the 11am ferry was setting off on the short crossing to Gigha. Unfortunately the sunny day forecast was not what we got. It was bright and mild but there was lots of cloud.

We walked along the beach to see the wreck of the Island Queen, then carried on walking along the beach towards the bay at Point Sands holiday (caravan) park, and kept walking until we were past the point and could see further up the coast. We turned there and wandered back. We just took our time and enjoyed being out there. I found lots of bits of pottery too. It was just after 1pm when we got back to the car. Back home for beans on toast for me and a treat for Fergus.
