Sunny again

This was a real bonus as the forecast hadn’t been so positive.

I had a lot to do today, including filling the car and collecting a prescription. It was too beautiful to just go home (cleaning and packing!!!) so I drove a little to see how they are progressing with reinstating the Lichfield canal.

There’s a section alongside the Tamworth road which was looking particularly pretty. Attention to detail, like daffodils and snowdrops, makes all the difference.

They’ve a lot to do as some of the route has been built on since it was closed 40 years or so ago. They hope that when it’s reopened people can enjoy this additional section as they traverse the Trent and Mersey or Coventry canals.
