Two weeks brighter

Two weeks since the last game it was noticeably lighter as I made my way to football this evening. A strange game - we scored for without reply, then they scored six unanswered before we finished with six more goals of our own. Should have scored another hat-trick but somehow the ball bounced over the bar when I stretched to reach a ricochet in front of an empty net. That would have been my second but I made amends shortly afterwards running onto a through ball and hitting it into the postage stamp corner of the net - best goal I've scored this year I think.
