Tillandsia usneoides

Spanish moss - you'll see this plant in Florida a lot, hanging from trees. Spanish moss is an epiphyte -a plant that grows upon another plant. It absorbs nutrients from the air and from rainfall. It is truly an "air plant."

I am fascinated with this plant and I often photograph it on my walks. For today's blip I've used a filter in Photoshop to accentuate it, but still -it's really quite beautiful on it's own.
