Rhubarb

A mostly quiet night with the grandchildren staying over, but once they started waking - from 7 a.m. - it was into the rounds of breakfasts, showers for the adults, clearing up the toys, then setting Finlay up for the day and then we were gone! Headed up the motorway to Darlington to see Mrs madwill’s mother. Mrs madwill’s sister was there too.

Had a nice lunch out at the cafe in their village, followed by tea and cakes back at the house.

We left late afternoon, then once back home it was out for a walk with Finlay and it was almost dark when I got back. Fortunately I had expected a busy day so had nipped out to the garden first thing to blip our rhubarb! It is growing rather quickly (as ever)... I expect there will be crumble next week.

Tomorrow is the last day of preparation for the quilt show - we might be busy. Setting up starts on Thursday
