A day in the mountains

TUESDAY

After breakfast we left the warmth of Paphos and headed up into the Troodos Mountains. First stop for morning coffee (and geocaching) was a taverna at Omodos.

We made it to the ski resort of Troodos (altitude 1952m) for a snowball fight and lunch.

Then on to see the Kykkos Monastery and the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios III at the mountain top at Throni (altitude 1450m).

After 5 hrs of driving, I had to go to the hotel gym to clock up my step quota.
