Godrevy Lighthouse

1501... Thank you all for your kind comments stars and hearts on yesterday’s milestone photograph. I’m looking forward to the next fifteen hundred and beyond. In the meantime we have had another splendid day in Cornwall.

We visited the National Trust headland at Godrevy and Gwithian where there is a large seal population. They were resting on the beach at low tide, on a section of beach inaccessible to annoying humans, who remained at the cliff top peering down. The iPhone doesn’t give the detail I’ve got with the Canon, so those pictures will wait until we get home.

This then is the island off Gwithian whereon stands th Godrevy lighthouse. The onshore breeze ably assisted by thme returning tide gave some spectacular blasts of water over the rocks.
