Sgwarnog: In the Field

The valley was full of fog this morning, with Wrose Hill doing it’s best Table Mountain impression on the other side.

I made it as far as Shipley and was waiting in the train on the platform when it was announced that the signals were down and we wouldn’t be going anywhere soon. I decamped to find a bus and after a circuitous route made it into work an hour later than planned. I got off lightly though; if I’d been one train earlier I’d apparently have been stuck in the middle of nowhere for five hours.

Later, I headed to Nethermoor for a Premier League Cup U23 fixture between Leeds United and Newcastle United with Leeds running out 3-1 winners  to finish top of their qualifying group.
