Sally Mair - Loving life

Day 25 Church building

We have a building project going on in my church at home, but that's nothing to this. I don't think I've ever seen a church being built from scratch before but that's what these three likely lads are doing. They were very happy to have their photos taken and took mine in return so I may end up on someone else's blip! I love the ladder, and I can't imagine what our health and safety exec would have to say about an old woman wandering about on a building site in flip flops!
Busy day at school today, my last full day before driving back across country tomorrow. I spent the time after school running around doing lots of last minute shopping and saying goodbye to people. I've been made so welcome and I think the extra walking I've been don't has helped me become even more familiar with the town and the ways around it. Certainly walking the VOC Ground has been an easy way of keeping my steps up. I didn't bother today as I've met my week's target and the time somehow slipped away - however I did 9500 steps which isn't bad for a non walking day.
The extra collage is of a type of shop we don't see in the UK but I guess that as death and dying are dealt with within 24-48 hours here, due to the climate and custom, things have to be ready to hand.
