The Golden Daffodils

Today was the last day of our February heatwave. I took the opportunity to do some fence painting - as mine is a corner plot, I have a LOT of fence panels that need a periodic re coating of fence stain. I was really hot working in the sun, and quite surprised at the number of bees around. I also saw a Comma butterfly on the heather flowers, but didn't manage to get a photo before it flew off. I hope the early appearance of insects and flowers does not do harm when the inevitable cold weather returns. These little daffodils were strikingly golden in the sun.
