Please let me in

This beautiful peacock, one of two males, roamed freely in the grounds of our hotel this morning. He waited patiently at the side door of the restaurant but we did not see anyone let him in.

After a very good breakfast we had a walk around the hotel grounds before driving back to St Omer for a market visit. There were lots of the local market gardeners selling their produce. I guess at this time of year they cultivate their vegetables in polytunnels.

A late lunch was taken near to Calais at a bistro adjacent to the hypermarket, where we always end our French trips. We stocked up on wines and cheeses before catching Le Shuttle.

The motorway from Folkestone to home has a 50mph maximum speed because of roadworks. Instead of 45 minutes the journey took almost hour and half I found the ride plus the supermarket shopping quite exhausting, even though i wasn't driving, and the wine can stay in the car's boot until tomorrow.

The peacock is my contribution to Admirer's Silly Saturday. My extra is his friend who had jumped up on a hedge. Thanks to Admirer for continuing with this.
