Beaconsfield mine museum

This yellow door is famous because after being trapped for many days two men appeared on TV across the world emerging from the shaft to the mine. It is now a fabulous museum and looks so familiar as everyone was so keen to hear news of the men trapped in a tiny cage almost 1kilometre below the surface.

Beautiful weather at last.

Travelled on the George Town ( 3rd oldest town in Australia) to get provisions and a pub lunch (overlooking the water) before meeting up with Carol and Graham at the campsite.

Roast lamb for dinner followed by pannacotta. Yum.
