Sunbathing.

Mrs TD had a hankering to visit Cockenzie House to see a small patch-worky exhibition being put on by one of her friends, Norma. I took quite a few pictures, including some of the needlework, but the best was of the chattering of starlings sunbathing. The colours really were that bright but, that’s why they are known as starlings.
 
My favourite from the display was  the sea shells in the first extra, tucked away in a corner and partly hidden – I did ask permission to take the pictures but decided that re-arranging the furniture might be pushing my luck; unsurprisingly, Herself went for the horse, one of a set of four of “Fred” belonging to N’s daughter. Included as the third extra, for its size and impressive range of colours, is the “scrappy” quilt on the wonky display stand
