A trip into town ...

For the first time since we got here this time we took a trip into Honolulu. We had a lunch date with Yvette and so we thought we'd have a wander around beforehand. The truth of the matter is that the weather is always much better over on the leeward side, and so it was today. It was really pleasant walking along the beach front and through the park. The huge trees provide a welcome shade when it gets very warm. The Honolulu side of the island has a lot going for it, particularly the weather, but it doesn't match the beauty of the windward side.

It was nice to catch up with Yvette, though the restaurant was not to our liking. Poor Tiziano found himself eating a huge bread roll with almost raw meat and something sweet inside. I had a crusty fish dish, which was a bit too rich for me.

Back home, after a trip to Safeway, we got back to our music lesson. Maestro Tiziano added another song to our repertoire, so we practised for quite a while.

But oh the mosquitoes, when will they leave us in peace?
