The North Wind doth Blow

Fortunately the wind is from the north today otherwise this tree would be spread across the main road possibly with a car or two underneath it and generally causing mayhem. It's our neighbour's tree - a laburnum - and is now lying across the drive. We are a group of four houses with a shared entrance and the house to which this tree belongs is empty - the owner died a while ago; it is currently being done up for selling or renting. We are glad the tree hasn't touched the motor home parked on our drive.

J and our other neighbour are now outside with chainsaw and barrow cutting up the tree for next year's firewood. So this tree is recycled twice - I get a blip and we all get firewood for the future.
