Desperately seeking

White-out

With the warnings of snow and blizzard conditions I went for a low key mono to represent the day.

We looked at the forecast and thought it better to let the snow clear from Beattock and travel in the better afternoon conditions. Having been at the allotment yesterday, Kat had drawn up a list and, with the advantage of a chauffeur, requested a garden centre visit this morning. Oh! Not another garden centre! How many times does the girl thing I can bear to visit garden centres! Lol!

By the time we got to Dobbies and thought about lunch their, makeshift cafeteria was full. We had a look around and that's where I saw the display of Senecio candice "Angel Wings". A carpet of  pale green leaves covered in fine white hairs. The earlier rain/melted sleet had become trapped on the hairs.

On then to The Secret Herb Garden for a bowl of soup, cake and coffee. Back home to Cumbria with only a few miles of sleet between Johnstone Bridge and the border.

I saw my first goslins of the year as we were leaving JB Services, wish I'd seen them in time to blip them!
