So today I took the bus to Alicante with Stina, but we got off the bus before the city and walked to the El Palmeral park. It is such a nice place and Stina had not seen it.

We walked around and had very reasonably priced coffees (cafe con leche 1,3€)  there sitting in the sun.

Naturally we used the park toilets before leaving and Stina tried to go to the wrong side and had to be told by a police which side women use. (I'd already told her, but for some reason she still chose wrong :-) ). I just think it's funny that we were told off by a police officer.

Anyway. As it was such a nice day, we decided to walk back home for a bit. We crossed the railway and walked a bit by the rails (no trains while there) and then we were able to access a dirt road that is right next to the seashore. There was a path, so clearly we weren't the only ones walking there. And the side walk next to the main road ended, so it was much safer next the railway for a while than next to the heavy traffic. We thought that if a train should come, we'd just sit as far from it as we could without falling over the cliff to the sea.

After this shady bit the walk was very enjoyable. Some men fishing, fewer getting their tans bettered. We walked all the way to Urbanova beach and took energizing coffees there. (Cafe con leche only 1,25€.) After that we walked over to the nudist beach parking lot where O-P picked us up with a car.

The whole journey took 5 hours. I was so hungry after getting home and I don't think I'll be able to kill the hunger with anything we have in the cupboards even after a very good paella lunch that I made.

Can't upload anything to Instagram as it seems to be down. I read that Facebook is too. So glad Blipfoto is working!
