Moving On

It was an early up today as there is lots to do in readiness for the weekend and the apres-Shamrock get together.  Before beginning the cleaning I had flights to book.  We are headed to the States later in the year, with Jen and Pete, to see Becky and Rob and we've decided to break our journey both ways in Dublin.  On the way home we are going to wend our way to Sligo to visit the area where Tony's mum came from and hopefully see some relatives too.

The remnants of Storm Gareth were still going through so I was keeping half an eye on the weather to catch a bit of sunshine to blip our neighbour's house to make in to a card for her.  She has moved down in to the village in to a house which will be much easier to manage and closer to services for her.  She always tended her garden and kept it beautifully and the tree in the foreground is stunning in leaf.

We took a break in the afternoon to visit the garden centre for a pot for my new blueberry bush and some grit to mix with the soil on the new rockery.  After the first days when the local cats discovered it and must have thought their luck was in, I have now surrounded it with cat scarers!!  Now we need a break in the weather to plant those first alpines.
