Strange Lamp

A lovely Sunday morning stroll in Greenwich Park and a browse around a vintage market where I saw this most unusual lamp.  Not really my cup of tea I must admit but I'm sure it would appeal to someone (maybe).

Later we went to Surrey Quays and met our son for yet another meal and another catch up.  Afterwards we walked passed Russia Dock and woodland - a lovely oasis of calm and greenery in such a busy city and headed back to our son's flat in Rotherhithe.  He has wonderful views of the river.  However, while we were there it was thundering and lightening and there was hail and you couldn't see over to the other side of the water.  Luckily by the time we were due to go back to our hotel to pick up our cases the weather had improved.

Our flight home was not as eventful as the one down.  It was wonderful seeing the lights of London from the plane and also the north east coast as we were landing.  A great visit and home now for a rest.
