Doug has been working away at doing up his mum's old oak china cabinet for our daughter Janelle.  It was earmarked for her way way back, long before she even owned a house.  But now that they have moved into a two storied much larger home she has a nook for it.  
He has stripped it down, sanded it over and over again, then applied many coats of Danish Oil.  It looks amazing, but needed new door & drawer handles.  
Nothing to be found in Timaru, so after looking through sites on the web we found some at Bunnings.  Timaru doesn't have a Bunnings so today we travelled north to Ashburton.  We got what we wanted fortunately, and I managed to get a blip (or two) in the process.

A picnic lunch in the botanical gardens, I then scouted about for an appropriate tree to do a PV.  Haven't done one for ages. 24 images in this one.

My other choice is in extra.....a long exposure of the one of the branches of the Rangitata River.  Very little water flow as much of it is gobbled up for irrigation.
