HAVE MICROPHONE - WILL TRAVEL!

We had a great programme today on “Girls About Town” when our guest was Louise, who was talking about Health and Wellbeing in the context of being a recovering alcoholic.  She was very interesting to listen to and was extremely open about her addiction, which started when she was 18 years old and went away to university.  Over twenty years later, married and with two children, she realised she couldn’t go on as she was, so went to AA and there found friendship and support and was then able to overcome her addiction, so is now promoting health and wellbeing, particularly for women.

Normally, the guest stays for the first hour and then the “girls” are left chat about anything and everything, but we were fortunate that Louise was able to stay for the full two hours.  If you are interested in listening then you can hear the repeat programme online here, tomorrow evening, Thursday, from 10 p.m. until midnight.

After my discussion with Shirley, the Radio Station Manager, last week, I decided if I was going to be doing interviews, then I would like to have my own “roving microphone” - well Mr. HCB has had his new television thingy so that he can listen to football and get the sound directly to his hearing aids, so it’s only fair that I have a new “toy” too - and this one comes with lots of gizmos!

It arrived yesterday, so I set it up quickly and did a quick interview with Mr. HCB and then when our son visited last night, before he goes on holiday on Friday, I did another interview with him - neither of them will be broadcast, but it’s good to practise - and as we all know, “practice makes perfect!”  I may even come and visit some of you, so don’t be surprised if I delve into my bag and bring out my “roving mic”!

Thank you so much for all your kind comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s Muscari, for which I am very grateful.

it is going on when you don’t have strength.”
