Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beatles - Come Together (recorded 21-30 July 1969, Abbey Road)
Having discovered the worth of sub-woofers from setting up two surround sound systems in the studio and living room, I discovered the stereo amp in the study had an outlet for a sub-woofer as well, so I plugged one into it this morning while listening to 6 Music.
As it happened, Mary Anne Hobbs was playing this from the Beatles' Abbey Road, also released as their 21st UK single in October 1969. It features Paul McCartney's "brilliantly idiomatic"* bass guitar patterns and couldn't have been more appropriately timed.
