Lumberjack Moment

Sort of . . .  a friend and neighbour had a birch tree blow down a few days ago and asked me to remove a large part of it.  I have a chainsaw (for which I have been on a course at Shuttleworth) so I agreed.  It was quite hard work, given the size of the tree at 60ish years old, but we now have a small pile of logs ready for winter 2020.

My chainsaw is a small one, a "consumer" model, you might say; it was probably at the limit of its capability with this tree, particularly considering that the chain oiler wasn't oiling, so I felt it necessary to stop frequently and pour oil on the chain.  I'd better get it fixed.
