When the sun shines ...

... off to the beach we go! Luca and I swam and played around in the water and then read our books (me, A Thread of Grace, Luca, Pride and Prejudice) with the sun's rays warming us inside and out. Wonderful to have some relaxing time together!! 

But Luca is nothing if not disciplined, so he studied in the afternoon and I did some work. But first, I read and commented on his philosophy essay (complicated stuff on Identity theory - body and mind as one, but not in an Eastern sense) and then Luca listened to a couple of our songs. He seemed to be genuinely impressed, especially by Orphan Girl! 

Then in the evening we had friends over for an aperitivo (John and Angelo, Marcia and Eddie from upstairs, Diana and then Jeff and Angie). Luca was a real hit with everyone. As Diana wrote the next day, "Loved Luca - sweet, fun, interesting. And very handsome, which doesn't hurt!" :-)
