i've even heard her singing in the abbey

Yesterday was a busy day and its finale was at the Theatre Royal in Dumfries. Jen and I went to the first show of Dumfries' Musical Theatre Company's production of "The Sound of Music". During their run of "Calamity Jane" the DMTC had noticed that some audience members liked to song along, but that their singing wasn't appreciated by others. So this time they scheduled a special "singalong" performance, with optional costumes. We didn't dress up but there were a lot of nuns in the audience.Nobody minded us belting out the words to all those glorious songs. We had a ball!

Jen and I were in the middle of the front row, right behind the band, who said they hadn't been put off at all by our singing... it was a wonderful production, as always, by this enthusiastic amateur company. Special credit to the children (see extras) who never looked nervous or fluffed a single line. I hope they enjoy the rest of their week on stage.

* Postscript * thanks to everyone for your stars, hearts and kind comments on my 7th Blip anniversary yesterday!
