If you can't beat them...

Pinus sylvestris.

I decided to try focus stacking again.   The subject I chose at first was too ephemeral so I picked one of the Scots Pine Cones.  This is the second or third attempt but I am reasonably pleased with it.

Scots Pine are one of the UK's three native conifers.  It is the only one strangely which bears what most of us would call cones.  The other two Juniper and Yew have what seem more like berries than cones.  They are still coniferous plants.
