Messages in the leaves

It is still seriously hot in Joburg.

Seriously hot. 

We are supposed to be in autumn, the temperatures are akin to mid-summer. But, some of the plants are reading the signs.

They're judging the light and THEY KNOW, winter is coming.

And they are making plans.

The events of the last 8 weeks or so, are my sign.  Changes MUST be made, the time is NOW !  Or NEVER.

I envy the leaves, it seems so easy.........it's programmed into their DNA.  As a human, the DNA programme is to seek, FAMILIARITY.

But the familiar is in turmoil.

And what is familiar and comfortable  today, will be gone 5, 10, 20 years from now.  And then what ?
