What a good evening!!

This morning we took it easy: I even started reading a book!  After lunch, we left for Manchester and parked in Piccadilly station car park!  In the station we found some really charming lads selling subscriptions to the Economist.  Whenever we are in Alameda we read this as there is always a pile of old ones in the Loo!  Well with a book and two old copies thrown in we took out an online subscription for £12 for 12 of them plus two years of old ones - online.  It seemed to be a pity not to!!  We were even given two bars of chocolate with crickets in them!!

A walk round the Arndale centre and a sit-down in Costa's to read our new literature and we headed for Wagamama's. Delicious and my stomach is OK so far!!

Then we headed to the arena to see Blue Planet Live.  It was particularly good for me as I hadn't seen the programmes on the BBC.  It was brilliant having the Orchestra playing as you watched.  It was a very big orchestra and a choir as well.  The voices did not sing words, only added their voices as another instrument. Very effective I thought. Anita Rani did the commenting. An excellent evening!

Many thanks to Bobsblips for hosting Wide Wednesday!  Colourful!
