Ducks

We had a quiet day today. Ventured into Launceston to do some shopping and put more credit on wifi ( oh no, I wonder what the bill will be when we get home) plus call in to see Carol who is waiting for Graham to return from a cross country hike in the mountains ( in snow, hail, sleet).

These resident ducks amused us. They all came tearing up to dine on something under a close oak tree, then they all raced back to the river, then back to the tree then back to the river. Sometimes they ran flat out and sometimes flew. In town I wanted to buy some more books but had trouble finding a book shop. They mustn’t read books in Tasmania. In the end I found a second hand shop with books so that made me happy.

So sad to see the Memorial in Christchurch this morning. Jacinda Ardern certainly is a leader for our Kiwi neighbours to be proud of. I liked what she said.... “ We each hold the power - in our words, in our actions, in our daily acts of kindness - let that be the legacy of the 15th March”.
