Perhaps they were thirsty

Woke (late) to rain in Hamilton. No opportunity for a run there, as we had an appointment we had to get back to Auckland for. The drive was mostly in the rain, and at times (as we came into the outskirts of Auckland) it was heavy enough to be called torrential. Not a difficult drive, but tiring none the less. Motivation for a late afternoon run in rain was absent.

Went to Grey Lynn to pick up mail from the Post Office Box (it is now in one of the pharmacies, while the old Post Office building has become a cafe.

Just into Williamson Avenue from the corner with Great North Road (where I was standing to take the photo) is a water drinking fountain. I have seen cyclists using it. The amount of rain today, and the fact that these Lime scooters are electric powered, I can't help wondering if the scooters were in need of some water Rather than the customers.
