Phone Booths

After yesterdays ridiculous mailboxes, I remembered another public service that's so strange these days... phone booths.

99,99% are long gone and can only be seen in the Communication Museum in The Hague. except for these two.

Don't ask me why they survived, as really nobody uses them, but I guess it has something to do with the location for they are just outside the houses of Parliament.

Anyway I thought it would be a nice contrast to portray them in the background of the reason of their unemployment... the cellular phone.

UPDATE: It seems to be art objects. The original designs from 1931 by architect van der Vlugt.
