Ignition!

A few days ago we got the go ahead to light our new stove. Then the weather turned sunny and warm so it seemed a bit pointless to light a stove. We checked the weather report and to our joy today was due to be cold, grey and raining. (This sort of news does not usually bring us joy, but in this situation...)
So this morning we read the instructions, and lit the new woodburner. As you can see here it burns beautifully. We were very impressed by the amount of heat it produced and by the small amount of wood it consumed to produce all that warmth.
Our day ended with a viewing of the Icelandic film "Rams" at the county museum. We'd seen it before and were very happy to see it again.  A slow and beautiful film.
