Hebden Bridge

We've had a really good morning in MidgeholeDave and BezziePet territory today.  Thank you to John H for recommending the wonderful Slack Top Alpine Nursery on Slack Bottom road (that gave us a chuckle!)  Set atop the hill above Heptonstall they have a huge variety of alpines, home grown and growing and for sale at very reasonable prices.  I chatted for a while with the chap who had transformed what was a field in to a nursery with walls and raised beds and troughs and trees.  His son and daughter-in-law now manage the business but I gather he enjoys mucking in and talking with customers.

Having purchased several summer alpines and promising to return when more become available, we took his advice and stopped off in the pretty village of Heptonstall to enjoy a cuppa and award winning pie and peas at the local teashop, before the picturesque drive home.

Tony stopped on the steep hill coming down from Heptonstall so I could get my blip of Hebden Bridge in the valley.  Iconic MD!
